Workshop Series on "Progressive Perspectives on the English Language Education"

The Faculty of Foreign Languages at Ton Duc Thang University, in collaboration with Kasetsart University (Thailand) and Nueva Vizcaya State University (Philippines), recently organized a Workshop Series titled "Progressive Perspectives on English Language Education." This initiative aimed to explore cutting-edge research insights in English language education, apply practical teaching techniques for young learners, utilize language data to enhance learning and teaching, and investigate English diversity for intercultural communication.

Following the success of previous workshops on "All about Variables" and "Hypotheses," this series, held from April 9 to April 16, 2024, featured a hybrid format combining face-to-face and online sessions. Divided into three sessions, it featured speakers from Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The topics ranged from "Varieties of English" to "Innovative Pedagogy for Young Learners" and "Using Corpora in Language Learning & Teaching."

The workshops drew nearly 200 students from Nueva Vizcaya State University (Philippines), Kasetsart University (Thailand), and Ton Duc Thang University. The participants gained fresh insights and valuable experiences in scientific research, enriching their academic journey.
