PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES - PEOS

After graduating from the Bachelor's program in English language - Ton Duc Thang University for 3 to 5 years, they will be able to:

1. Apply theoretical and specialised knowledge in English language teaching or business English to perform professional duties effectively.

2. Demonstrate English language proficiency, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the field.

3. Exhibit strong political awareness, discipline, professional ethics, creativity, and a sense of responsibility towards their profession and the community.

PROGRAMME LEARNING OUTCOMES - PLOS

PLOS 1: Apply knowledge of political theory, law, physical education, and national defense education to learning, research, and professional activities.

PLOS 2: Analyze structures and situations in the field of English linguistics.

PLOS 3: Analyze issues related to British and American culture, society, and literature.

PLO4: 1. Develop professional knowledge and skills related to educational psychology, teaching methods, testing and assessment in organizing English teaching and learning activities at the high school level. (For English Language Teaching orientation)

         2. Develop fundamental knowledge of economics and business, along with commercial English communication skills, to perform assigned tasks in the workplace. (For Business English orientation)

PLOS 5: Perform essential workplace skills such as learning, translation, critical thinking, information technology, sustainable development skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in a second foreign language in everyday communication situations.

PLOS 6: Apply academic writing skills and scientific research methods to learning and research activities.

PLOS 7: Develop English language proficiency to communicate effectively in social, academic, and professional contexts – equivalent to level C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

PLOS 8: Perform sound political qualities, a strong sense of discipline, exemplary professional ethics, and creativity; possess a sense of responsibility in professional and community activities.

PROGRESSION POINTS

Students must meet the graduation requirements according to the regulations on organization and undergraduate training at Ton Duc Thang University:

  • Complete all courses and earn the required number of credits as specified by the programme;
  • Achieve the conduct score required by the program;
  • Fulfill the learning outcome standards of the training program;
  • Possess one of the following certificates: MOS 1 or MOS 2 with a minimum score of 750/1000 in Word and Excel; or an ICDL certificate with at least 75% in documents and spreadsheets;
  • Have a foreign language certificate at level B1 or equivalent in one of the following languages: French, German, Russian, Japanese, Korean, or Chinese.
