The Master’s Programme in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is designed to train highly qualified professionals in the field of English language teaching and research, meeting the increasing demands of modern education and international integration.
The programme adopts a learner-centered approach, in which learners are positioned as active agents in the training process. This approach encourages learners’ autonomy, active engagement, and meaningful participation in the learning process. It also provides effective guidance to help learners achieve the learning outcomes of each course and of the programme as a whole.
The programme equips learners with self-directed learning and research competencies, strengthens the integration of theory and practice, and promotes the application of knowledge to real-life contexts. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following majors:
• English Language Teaching
• English Studies
• English Linguistics and Literature
• British Literature
* Notes:
• Applicants holding a related undergraduate degree without Educational Psychology are required to complete this course before application.
• Applicants holding a Pedagogical Training Certificate or a bachelor’s degree with a teacher-education orientation are likely to be exempt from the bridging course (Eduational Psychology).
