Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation for the 2024 Literature Poster Design Contest

On November 22, 2024, at the F Hall, Tan Phong Campus, Ton Duc Thang University, Faculty of Foreign Languages successfully organized the Closing Ceremony and Awards Presentation for the 2024-2025 Literature Poster Display activity. The event attracted the participation of more than 80 students from the English Language major, with 16 unique posters submitted, showcasing the creativity and enthusiasm of the students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

* Awards were presented to the best works as follows:

•    First Prize: Poster "Anne Shirley"
•    Second Prize: Poster "Raphael Fernandez"
•    Third Prize: Poster "Alice Pleasance Liddell"
•    Consolation Prizes: Posters "Briony Tallis" and "Coraline Jones"
•    Audience Choice Award: Poster "Albus Dumbledore"

Additionally, the Organizing Committee (OC) also awarded exclusive gifts from the Faculty of Foreign Languages to 20 students who submitted the correct answers earliest in the Literature Poster Display Spot and Win program. The promotional poster for the 2024-2025 Literature Poster Display Contest featured nine iconic items from timeless literary works, including:

1.    Pipe and detective hat – Sherlock Holmes
2.    Pendulum clock – Alice in Wonderland
3.    Juliet's balcony – Romeo and Juliet
4.    Mockingbird – To Kill a Mockingbird
5.    Marlin fish – The Old Man and the Sea
6.    One Ring (gold ring) – The Lord of the Rings
7.    Sorting Hat – Harry Potter
8.    Windmill and gray donkey – Don Quixote
9.    Sword in the stone – Excalibur

Moreover, all students who submitted their answers to the organizers received 5 academic training points.

The 2024-2025 Literature Poster Display Activity is not only a creative playground but also an opportunity for students of the English Language major to showcase their talents and passion. We hope this event will be a great source of inspiration for future academic and artistic activities.
