Exclusive Thinking Method: Linearthinking

On the morning of October 26, 2024, at Hall 10F of Tan Phong Campus, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized a workshop on English learning methods for its first-year students majoring in the English Language program. The workshop, titled “Exclusive Thinking Method: Linearthinking,” was presented by guest speaker Ms. Ha Dang Nhu Quynh, Academic Director of the DOL English System at DOL English Co., Ltd.

Attending the program were lecturers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages including Dr. Ly Y Lam, Head of the Business Cooperation Committee; Ms. Do Thi Hoa Quyen, MA., member of the committee; and Mr. Hoang Le Quoc Dat, MA., lecturer, along with more than 150 students.

During her talk, Ms. Ha Dang Nhu Quynh explained what the Linearthinking approach is and how it can be applied in English learning. She analyzed how Linearthinking is employed in practicing the four skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing, as well as memorizing and using vocabulary effectively. The speaker also shared useful information on language learning strategies through the development of thinking skills.

In addition to the specialized knowledge, the workshop provided the English Language program students with insights into Linearthinking, a new method of learning English.
