FFL Start-up 2024: Showcasing Talent and Aspiration

On the morning of August 6, 2024, at Room A0101 (Tan Phong Campus), the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), hosted the Final Round of the Creative Start-up Idea Competition - FFL Start-up 2024.

The event witnessed the presence of Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice Dean, Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Among the panel of judges were Ms. Nham Thi Ngoc, Lecturer of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; guest judge Mr. Pham Ngoc Son, Lecturer at the University of Food Industry, Ho Chi Minh City; and sponsor representative Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Mai, Director of ZQB Trading Co., Ltd.

This year's competition attracted significant attention and enthusiastic participation from many teams, marking a milestone in the journey of developing and igniting the entrepreneurial potential of the Faculty of Foreign Languages students. After several challenging rounds, four teams - TACOTOPIA, RAWEAR, DECOZY, and POW - stood out with their innovative start-up ideas and earned their spots in the Final Round. Each team presented unique, feasible, and promising ideas:

• TACOTOPIA: Focused on a unique taco restaurant chain combining Mexican culinary culture with local ingredients.
• RAWEAR: Emphasized sustainable fashion with products made from recycled and eco-friendly materials, aiming for a green fashion future.
• DECOZY: Proposed smart interior decoration ideas, leveraging technology to create modern and convenient living spaces.
• POW: Offered clean water technology solutions for the Vietnamese population and agriculture.

The Final Round took place in a lively and exciting atmosphere. The teams presented their ideas confidently and persuasively, receiving much praise from the judges and the audience. The results were as follows: First Prize went to Team RAWEAR for their sustainable fashion idea. Second Prize was awarded to Team POW for their clean water solution. Third Prize went to Team TACOTOPIA, and the Consolation Prize was given to Team DECOZY.

FFL Start-up 2024 was not just a competition but a launchpad for young talents eager to start their entrepreneurial journeys. It provided students an opportunity to showcase their creative passions and gain valuable real-world experience. We hope that many ideas from this competition will become successful businesses in the future.
