FFL Start-up Innovation Contest 2024

To provide students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages with opportunities to connect interdisciplinary thinking, unleash creativity, and apply learned knowledge to real-life start-up ideas, the Faculty of Foreign Languages is organizing the "FFL Start-up 2024" Innovation Contest exclusively for students who are currently enrolled in the Faculty.

I. Contest Information:

1.    Preliminary Round:

  • Expected Date: June 22 - July 11, 2024.
  • Teams present the ideas through: idea registration form, idea presentation form. The jury will select 08 outstanding ideas for the final round.

  • Scoring criteria:

-  Uniqueness and creativity.
-  Practicality and commercialization potential.
-  Market potential and scale.
-  Development, expansion, and scalability potential.
-  Technology and applied standards.
-  Preparation of documents.

o  Documents required for the preliminary round:

-  Idea registration form (pdf file)
-  Idea presentation form (pdf file)
-  Presentation file (auto-playable clips: canva, powerpoint, prezi, …)

  • Deadline for idea submission: by the end of July 11, 2024.

  • Announcement date: July 17, 2024.

2. Final Round:

  • Expected Date: July 23, 2024.
  • Teams present detailed start-up ideas and product demos (if any).
  • Each team has 15 minutes for presentation (5-7 minutes) and answers questions from the jury.
  • Scoring criteria:

- Uniqueness and creativity.
- Practicality and commercialization potential.
- Market potential and scale.
- Development, expansion, and scalability potential.
- Technology and applied standards.
- Team development capacity.
- Document preparation and presentation skills.

II. Participants:

  • Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages;
  • Students can compete individually or in groups (maximum of 4 members).

III. Prize Structure:

     Preliminary round: Select up to 08 outstanding ideas for the final round.

     Final round:

  • 01 First prize: Certificate from the Faculty and cash prize of 2,000,000 VND.
  • 01 Second prize: Certificate from the Faculty and cash prize of 1,500,000 VND.
  • 01 Third prize: Certificate from the Faculty and cash prize of 1,000,000 VND.
  • 05 Consolation prizes: Certificates from the Faculty and cash prize of 500,000 VND.

IV. Benefits:

  • Students participating in the contest will be credited with academic activities (preliminary round points and prizes) according to the current regulations.
