Scientific research for undergraduates - Accuracy and standards essential

On the afternoon of October 26, 2024, at Hall 6M - Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the FFL organized a workshop on Scientific Research for Undergraduate Students, featuring a presentation by Dr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Vice Dean and Head of the Chinese Language Department. The event attracted over 300 students.

The workshop focused on key aspects of topic selection and the foundational steps of conducting scientific research. Addressing the essentials of research, Dr. Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized the importance of two primary factors: scientific rigor and feasibility in the research topic. Additionally, he advised students to consider the research scope, background, and novelty of their topics. Dr. Nguyen Hoa Binh also highlighted the importance of academic integrity, proper citations, and credible references in students' research projects.

Through the valuable insights shared at the workshop, students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages have gained a comprehensive understanding of scientific research, forming a foundation to strengthen their expertise and pursue genuine scientific knowledge in the future.
