Training Program on Demo Teaching, Classroom Interaction, and Experience Sharing in High Schools for TDTU Students

To equip students majoring in English Language Studies with a teaching orientation in high schools with effective English teaching methods, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a training session on the morning of May 11, 2024, in Classroom F402. The theme of the session was "Demo Teaching, Classroom Interaction, and Experience Sharing in High Schools." The guest speaker for this training was Ms. Nguyễn Vũ Thảo Vy, an English teacher at Trần Khai Nguyên High School.

Attending the training session were Ms. Nguyễn Thị Tuyết Tâm, Head of the English Teaching Methodology Department at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, along with third-year students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at TDTU. During her presentation, Ms. Nguyễn Vũ Thảo Vy discussed and shared various English teaching methods used in high schools in Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces. She also shared a sample grammar lesson on the "Second Conditional" from the Friends Global textbook for 10th grade, detailing the steps of a demonstration lesson, experience in interacting with students, ways to integrate activities into lessons to enhance interaction, practical teaching skills in the classroom, and classroom management. Additionally, she shared skills related to being a homeroom teacher and answered students' questions.

The training session was an opportunity for students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages to gain knowledge and skills in teaching methods, preparing them for their upcoming teaching internships.
