Workshop on AI in Teaching and Learning Languages

The Faculty of Foreign Languages recently held an important workshop on the integration of artificial intelligence in language education. The two-day event, titled “AI in Teaching and Learning Languages,” took place on July 1-2, 2024, gathering faculty members to explore practical applications of AI in language instruction.

Dr. Bao Dat, a senior lecturer from the Faculty of Education at Monash University, Australia, led the workshop. The workshop provided lecturers with current knowledge and practical skills in using AI for language teaching and research.

The workshop covered several key topics:

• Comparing human-produced and AI-generated texts

• Improving AI-generated content

• AI-detecting tools

• Practical uses of AI in language teaching and research

This workshop was an act in addressing the growing role of AI in education and research, including both its potential and challenges.
