Workshop “Enhancing Memory Skills with the Pyramid Model”

To equip students with essential soft skills, enabling them to develop personally and work with high professionalism upon graduation, on the morning of November 9, 2024, at the Hall C Meeting Room - Tan Phong Campus, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized a Workshop for 4th-year Chinese Language students entitled "Enhancing Memory Skills with the Pyramid Model". The presentation was delivered by guest speaker Mr. La Thanh Hien, a former student of the Foreign Languages Faculty (TDTU) and currently Training Manager at Jinyu (Vietnam) Tire Co., Ltd.

Attending the program on behalf of the Foreign Languages Faculty were Ms. Do Thi Hoa Quyen, MA - Representative of the Faculty's Business Cooperation Board, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Dung, MA - Lecturer of English, and a member of the Business Cooperation Board, along with nearly 40 4th-year Chinese Language students. At the sharing session, Mr. La Thanh Hien introduced to the students an effective way to memorize information through the pyramid structure presentation method. Speakers can convey information in a top-down or bottom-up direction, however, receivers are more likely to remember messages in a top-down direction. The speaker also directly guided students on how to apply this model to memorize a large amount of information.

It is hoped that this sharing session will help students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages improve their memory skills, thereby achieving more academic success and having a clearer career orientation in the future.
