Enhancing employability: key recruitment skills and career orientation

On the morning of December 6, 2025, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Ton Duc Thang University successfully hosted a specialized seminar on " Enhancing Employability: Key Recruitment Skills and Career Orientation" at Hall 6M. The event featured distinguished guest speaker Mr. Tran Thanh Tuoi, HR Director of Jason Furniture Vietnam Co., Ltd. (KuKa Home).

Drawing on his extensive recruitment experience, Mr. Tuoi offered students insightful perspectives on the essential skills required to impress recruiters and navigate their careers in the globalized context.

The program was attended by key figures from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, including M.A. Nguyen Thanh Phuong (Head of the Faculty), Dr. Ly Y Lam (Head of the Enterprise Cooperation Committee), and M.A. Do Thi Hoa Quyen (Committee Member).

During his session, the speaker highlighted three critical skill sets: professional, communication, and technological skills. Furthermore, he provided students with strategies for successful interviews, covering everything from resume preparation and practice techniques to demonstrating professional demeanor. He also dedicated time to direct consultation, helping students understand how to proactively develop themselves to meet demanding industry requirements.

This seminar not only equipped Foreign Language Faculty students with steps for confident interviewing but also armed them with vital soft skills. This robust preparation ensures they are ready to integrate and succeed in professional working environments.
