FFL’ visit and gift-giving trip to Đưng K’nớ Primary School (Lam Dong Province)

On the morning of May 26, 2025, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a meaningful visit and gift-giving trip to students at Đưng K’Nớ Primary School, located in Đưng K’Nớ Commune, Lạc Dương District, Lâm Đồng Province. This activity was part of a charitable initiative led by the Faculty’s Labor Union, aiming to support underprivileged students as the new school year approaches. The program reflects the spirit of solidarity and compassion—an enduring value of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and of TDTU as a whole.

Đưng K’Nớ Primary School is situated in Hamlet 2 of Đưng K’Nớ Commune, one of the most remote and economically challenged areas of Lạc Dương District. According to Decision No. 612/QĐ-UBDT dated September 16, 2021 by the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, Hamlet 2 is classified as an extremely disadvantaged village in the ethnic minority and mountainous regions for the 2021–2025 period.

During the trip, the faculty presented the school with 170 sets of textbooks (for 1st graders to 5th graders), 400 notebooks, 200 pairs of sandals, 330 gift packs, as well as a collection of used books and other meaningful presents. The total value of the donations, which exceeded 40 million VND, was raised through contributions from the lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

The visit not only brought joy and practical support to the young students, but also served as an opportunity to strengthen bonds within the faculty and promote a spirit of community service and humanistic values across the university.
