Grand finale FFL Debating Championships Season 4 - Reign With Poise

Following the resounding success of FFL Debating Championships Season 3, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), proudly hosted the Grand Finale of FFL Debating Championships Season 4 on the morning of April 19, 2025, at Hall 10F. This event is one of the highlights in the series of activities celebrating the 27th anniversary of the Faculty of Foreign Languages (April 16, 1998 – April 16, 2025).

In attendance were Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice Dean and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; Ms. Ho Phuong Thao, Head of the Integrated Language Skills Division and Head of the Organizing Committee; and Mr. Tran Thien Minh, Academic Director of DOL English, the event’s sponsor. The event also welcomed guest judges, esteemed faculty members, and more than 300 students who came to support and cheer for the finalists.

Launched in February 2025, FFL Debating Championships Season 4 has provided students with a valuable academic platform to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills. Throughout the competition, participants showcased insightful perspectives on various topics concerning education and youth.

The Grand Finale brought together the Top 8 finalists, who had successfully advanced through challenging preliminary rounds to compete in intellectually intense debate battles. With confident delivery, well-structured arguments, and unyielding determination, the contestants delivered captivating and impressive performances that left a lasting impression on both the audience and judges.

Final Results:

• Champion: Nguyen Thanh Tu
• First Runner-up: Huynh Thi Kim Thanh
• Second Runner-up: Nguyen Thai Bao
• Consolation Prizes: Dang Tieu Binh, Hoang Gia Han, Pham Nguyen Thien An, Bui Phuong Ngoc, and Nguyen Phan Phu Thinh
