TDTU Faculty of Foreign Languages Welcomes Delegation from Kasetsart University, Thailand

On the afternoon of March 31, 2025, in the Grandstand A Meeting Room, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Faculty of Foreign Languages welcomed the delegation of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Development Science, Kasetsart University (KU), Thailand. The visit was part of a Cultural Exchange and Study Program held at TDTU. This initiative is one of the key activities in the Faculty’s strategies to attract international students to TDTU during the 2024–2025 academic year.

The program, which runs from March 31 to April 20, 2025, features a wide range of meaningful and engaging activities. It offers Thai students the opportunity to experience the learning environment at TDTU while also enabling TDTU students, especially those from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, to make friends and engage in cultural exchange with their Thai peers. This is also a valuable opportunity for the Faculty of Foreign Languages to promote the image of Ton Duc Thang University and the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) to international partners.

* Key activities of the program include:

• Learning Vietnamese language and culture;
• Attending classes such as Public Speaking, Intercultural Communication, Supervised Observation and Teaching Practice, and Business Management;
• Participating in team-building activities with A.C.E English Club members through traditional games and a TDTU-themed scavenger hunt;
• Joining a cultural exchange performance with English Language Studies students, featuring Vietnamese, English, and Thai songs as well as group dances;
• Attending the Final Round of the FFL Debating Championship organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages;
• Exploring iconic landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Independence Palace, Saigon Central Post Office, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Ton Duc Thang Museum, Ben Thanh Market, and enjoying a ride on the famous Saigon Waterbus.

Kasetsart University is a top-ranked public university in Thailand, consistently listed among the country’s top 10 institutions. The Faculty of Foreign Languages is honoured to serve as a bridge between Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Kasetsart University (KU).
