Ton Duc Thang University Hosted the 2nd International Conference on Language Development

On July 4, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the opening ceremony of the international conference “The 2nd International Conference on Language Development (ICLD 2025)” under the theme “Transforming Language Education: Wellness, Technology and Beyond.”

The two-day event, taking place on July 4 and 5, 2025, was co-organized by Ton Duc Thang University in collaboration with Silpakorn University (Thailand), Nueva Vizcaya State University (Philippines), and Shanghai Normal University (China). The conference attracted 64 academic presentations from researchers, lecturers, and experts from 11 countries, including Australia, China, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Germany, Poland, Indonesia, Armenia, Ukraine, Malta, and Vietnam.

In his opening speech, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President of TDTU – emphasized that this conference highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language education and affirmed that the integration of AI into language teaching aligns with the trend of digital transformation, enhancing the quality of education and meeting the demands of international integration in the field of education and training.

Key topics at the conference included the application of AI in developing innovative teaching strategies, personalizing learning environments to suit individual learners' needs and capabilities, and ethical considerations when integrating AI into education. The discussions also addressed mental health and well-being issues for both teachers and students throughout the teaching and learning process. From that, the promising research findings presented at the conference are expected to contribute significantly to innovating language teaching and learning methodologies in alignment with current educational development trends.

Building on the success of the previous conference, ICLD 2025 continues to serve as a platform for scholars to share the latest research in the field of language studies. The event not only promotes and expands academic networks for professional development and research dissemination but also encourages creative ideas in educational practices and scientific research. Moreover, it fosters dialogue and collaboration among experts, researchers, and educational administrators both domestically and internationally. Through panel discussions and activities that bridge academic knowledge with real-world applications overall, the conference strengthens the connection between universities and society, responds to labours market demands, and lays the groundwork for the practical implementation of research initiatives.
