Appointment Ceremony of Adjunct Professor for Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supong Tangkiengsirisin at the Faculty of Foreign Languages (TDTU)
On June 8th, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) officially presented the appointment letter for the position of Adjunct Professor to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supong Tangkiengsirisin—Senior Lecturer at the Language Institute Thammasat University (Thailand). The appointment decision spans a 3-year term, effective from April 15, 2026, to April 14, 2029.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supong Tangkiengsirisin is a highly influential expert with numerous research works published in prestigious international journals indexed in Scopus (Q1, Q2). He previously served as the President of the Thailand TESOL Association and is currently the Director of the Language Institute Thammasat University Advanced Center for Testings (LITU-ACTs) at Thammasat University. The LITU-ACTs center is widely recognized for its reputable language proficiency exams, such as TU-GET and TU-STEPS.
In his role as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages (FFL - TDTU), he will directly engage in teaching and sharing his expertise with undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty. Additionally, he will guide scientific research, support research projects conducted by FFL lecturers and students, collaborate on international research projects, and perform other professional tasks assigned by the Faculty.
Driven by the desire to foster educational cooperation between the Language Institute Thammasat University and the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Ton Duc Thang University—thereby providing students with opportunities to access advanced knowledge. This appointment marks a significant milestone in the Faculty's internationalization goals. This milestone also underscores the distinguished academic standing of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supong Tangkiengsirisin.
The Faculty of Foreign Languages firmly believes that the rich practical experience and sharp academic mindset of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supong Tangkiengsirisin will provide a powerful momentumto drive scientific research initiatives and enhance international publishing capabilities for FFL lecturers and students during the 2026–2029 period.
