Meeting between FFL students and representatives of the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol, UK)

On the afternoon of March 19, 2025, at Meeting Room A403, the Faculty of Foreign Languages hosted an engaging exchange session between English-majored students and representatives from the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol, UK). The event not only provided valuable academic insights but also created opportunities for students to enhance their English communication skills.

During the session, Mr. Zach MacDonal, representative of UWE Bristol, delivered a comprehensive introduction to the university’s diverse academic programs, key postgraduate specializations, and modern facilities. Notably, Ms. Hoàng Lan Hoa, UWE Bristol’s Director in Vietnam, highlighted postgraduate scholarship schemes specifically available to partner institutions such as the Faculty of Foreign Languages (TDTU), opening up promising opportunities for students aspiring to pursue further studies in the United Kingdom.

A key highlight introduced at the event was the UWE Summer Camp 2026 – English Language and UK Culture Summer School, scheduled for July 2026. This flagship collaborative program between the Faculty of Foreign Languages (TDTU) and UWE Bristol has been implemented continuously since 2023. More than simply just a tour, the summer program is carefully designed to:

•    Enhance students’ communication skills in both academic and everyday contexts in the UK;
•    Broaden their understanding of British culture, people, and lifestyle;
•    Offer academic recognition, as participating students may receive credit equivalence for the Intership courses – an essential component of the English Language program.

The continuation of annual international exchange activities such as this meeting with UWE Bristol once again affirms the Faculty of Foreign Languages’ commitment to educational internationalization. Programs like the UWE Summer Camp 2026 not only enrich students’ knowledge but also help build a strong and competitive academic profile for their future careers.
