Learning Outcomes for English Language Program (Standard Program)

Generic knowledge

General knowledge of political theory, social sciences, physical education, national defense education, foreign languages, and informatics.

On successful completion of this program graduates will be able to:

ELO1: Understand the fundamental principles of Marxism-Leninism, basic law, and national defense education; demonstrate efficient physical health.

ELO2: Be able to use computer skills (MOS - Word, Excel, Power Point≥750 points), to produce proficiency of a second foreign language (equivalent to level B), and to apply knowledge of research.

Specific knowledge

Knowledge of English language skills, linguistics; knowledge of English language teaching principles and practice or of business English

ELO3: Demonstrate a thorough command of English (equivalent to CEFR C1).

ELO4: Understand and apply the knowledge of linguistics and other English-related fields such as cultures, literatures, and translation.

ELO5:Understand and synthesize theories of teaching methodology (English Language teaching – ELT) and of business (Business English).

Professional skills (Practical skills: involving manual dexterity and the use of methods, materials, tools and instruments)

Skills in English Language Teaching (ELT) and Business English

ELO6 (ELT): Prepare and organize learning, teaching, and assessment activities (planning, designing and delivering lessons; managing classes, developing tests and conducting assessment, etc.).

ELO6 (Business English): Demonstrate knowledge and skills for working in business environments where English competence is involved (dealing with business situations, understanding business contracts, producing bilingual correspondence, and developing plans and other projects.in business).

(Cognitive skills: involving the use of logical, intuitive and creative thinking)

Soft skills

ELO7: Employ soft skills in the workplace and real life, as follows: teamwork skills, study skills, time management skills, presentation skills, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and written communication skills.
